Since establishing Riverbend Family Medicine in 1998, Dr. Ley Barnett and her team have been dedicated to caring for the families of our community. With our compassionate and skilled team, we feel confident that you will be more than satisfied with your experience at Riverbend. Ley Barnett, M.D.

Dr. Barnett established Riverbend Family Medicine in 1998 to serve the health care needs of the local community. Dr. Barnett graduated from East Carolina University School of Medicine in Greenville, N.C. She completed her internship and residency in family practice at the Medical Center of Delaware Department of Family Medicine in Wilmington, DE. Dr. Barnett is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians and a diplomat of the American Board of Family Medicine. She considers it a privilege to provide care for the families of southern Wake and Harnett counties, and is honored to be recognized for high levels of patient-satisfaction.

 

 

 

Joy Vonk, P.A.-C.

Ms. Vonk is a certified physician assistant. She graduated from NC State University with a bachelor of science in biological science nutrition and bachelor of science in animal science. She went on to complete her master of science in physician assistant studies from Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, TX.  Prior to joining Riverbend Family Medicine, she practiced internal medicine as a physician assistant in Houston, TX.

Brandy Embry, P.A.-C.

Brandy received her nursing degree from Scottsdale Community College School of Nursing in Scottsdale, AZ and her Master of Science in nursing from A.T. Still University in Mesa, AZ. Brandy has nearly two decades of experience in patient care. She enjoys meeting the individual health care needs of patients of all ages (infants to the elderly), from preventive care to chronic and acute illnesses.
